Project Name: 2017 AIA Galveston Sandcastle Competition, Golden Bucket Winner!
Description: Metzger and Kirksey teamed up in 2017 for “Smurf and Turf”, a spoof on the Smurf cartoon characters. For the third straight year the Kirksey-Metzger team was awarded the Golden Bucket for the top sandcastle entry in the competition. Other awards won included the Tallest Structure and Best Traditional Castle.
